Description

Discover yoga

In recent years there has been much research conducted into what happens physiologically when we practice Yoga – not just the asana (physical poses) but the breathing and relaxation techniques as well. The research is uncovering fascinating evidence of how the practice affects us mentally and physically and can help to prevent and assist with many illness such as pain, stress, anxiety, insomnia, back pain, high blood pressure to name but a few.

As part of the Mental Health Awareness event on 10 October Karen will be holding a basic beginner’s yoga session suitable for anyone who has always wanted to give yoga a try! The class will introduce you to some of the basic asana (poses), pranayama (breathing) and relaxation techniques.

There are two sessions availble with limited places offered on a first-come first-served basis. Please select ticket type during registration.
